Global Brain has invested in Supercritical Solutions Ltd (Supercritical Solutions), a company developing innovative, low-cost green hydrogen* production technology under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, through its SUISO no MORI Fund (Niterra SUISO no MORI Fund).

Supercritical Solutions is a startup that develops its proprietary high-temperature and high-pressure water electrolysis technology. This core technology enables the production of green hydrogen with world-leading power efficiency of 42 kWh/kgH2. While over 95% of hydrogen currently used in the market is fossil fuel-derived gray hydrogen, there is a growing demand for clean hydrogen in sectors facing decarbonization challenges, such as the chemical industry, industrial heating, and transportation. Green hydrogen is expected to be a primary clean hydrogen source for achieving a carbon-neutral society by 2050; however, cost reduction is essential for its widespread adoption.

Supercritical Solutions manufactures equipment for low-cost production of high-pressure green hydrogen, exceeding 200 bar and with a purity of over 99%, under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions through its unique electrolytic cell design that does not use electrolytic membranes or iridium-based catalysts. The production of high-pressure hydrogen enables significant reductions in compression costs and contributes to improved energy efficiency and cost reduction in industries requiring high-pressure hydrogen.
