Global Brain has invested in Solestial, Inc. (Solestial), a startup providing next-generation silicon solar power solutions for space applications, through its ME Innovation Fund L.P. (ME Innovation Fund).

Solestial is on a mission to deliver abundant energy in space. The company’s groundbreaking technology centers on silicon solar cells engineered specifically for use in space, featuring the ability to self-heal radiation damage when exposed to sunlight. These cells are packaged into ultrathin, lightweight, and flexible modules, designed to operate for up to 10 years in the harsh conditions of space. These advantages will enable Solestial to achieve substantial cost savings over traditional space solar technologies.

Global Brain has decided to invest in Solestial based on its unique technological capabilities, strong competitive edge, and clear vision to make sustainable energy widely accessible in space. Through this investment, Global Brain will support Solestial’s ambitious efforts—together with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation—to advance sustainable human presence in space, from satellite constellations to lunar infrastructure development.
