Global Brain has acquired the shares of Smart Education, Ltd., a company that offers a childcare/educational environment and digital tools for preschools, through its Canon Marketing Japan MIRAI Fund (Canon MJ MIRAI Fund). The early childhood facility industry in Japan is shifting to an era that emphasizes “quality over quantity” due to the decrease in the number of children on the waiting list for daycare facilities and the rapid decline in birthrate. With this, operators are placing importance on early childhood education in order to be selected by parents. Since its establishment in 2011, Smart Education has continued to grow as a trusted partner by providing ICT educational materials that nurture children’s independence and a nature-rich preschool garden environment for preschools nationwide. As a result, approximately 1,500 facilities have adopted its products as of November 2024.
