Global Brain has invested in RUN.EDGE Limited, a video search and analysis Technology company
Global Brain (GB) has invested in RUN.EDGE Limited, a video search and analysis Technology company, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).
RUN.EDGE is a video search and analysis tech company with core technology of easy and quick scene search among various video files.
Currently its main application is sports video analysis. It has two products for baseball and soccer/football. “PITCHBASE”, the product for baseball teams, is already adopted by 10+ teams in MLB (US) and NPB (Japan). “FL-UX Football” for soccer/football has just been launched in Feb. 2020 and several professional clubs both in Japan and abroad has decided to adopt it.
GB has highly evaluated RUN.EDGE’s excellent capabilities in product design and development and large potential of its scene search and analysis technology not only for sports application but other video contents. GB will leverage its deep knowledge and experience of successfully guiding a number of Tech startups and will support RUN.EDGE’s growth and challenges.
