Global Brain has invested in RLWRLD Inc. (RLWRLD), a developer of Robotics Foundation Model (RFM) AI, through its Global Brain Flagship Fund IX, ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. (ANA Future Frontier Fund), KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III), 321FORCE Global Innovation Fund L.P. (321FORCE™), and Shimadzu Future Innovation Fund L.P. (Shimadzu FIF).

RLWRLD is a physical AI startup developing RFM technology that can be utilized in manufacturing environments. Unlike language-based Large Language Models (LLMs), RFM is a foundational technology for implementing AI that operates in real-world environments, representing a next-generation AI field essential for integration with various physical industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and services.

RLWRLD is led by CEO Jung-hee Ryu, an AI expert and serial entrepreneur who previously founded the computer vision company OLAWORKS, which was acquired by Intel. The management team includes professionals with extensive experience across various industries, including former CTO of a unicorn startup and former Managing Directors from BCG. Professor Jinwoo Shin from KAIST Graduate School of AI leads research and development as Chief Scientist with top-tier research talent from South Korea. Through their proprietary AI architecture and RFM learning platform, they are developing RFM software that can be immediately applied in industrial settings, aiming to provide practical AI solutions for complex manufacturing challenges. In 2025, they plan to establish an office in Japan to promote strategic collaborations with Japanese companies and research institutions possessing excellent robotics and sensor technologies.
