Global Brain has invested in MNTSQ, Ltd. (MNTSQ), a provider of “MNTSQ CLM” that enables companies to digitalize their contracting operations, through its JGC MIRAI Innovation Fund L.P. (JGC MIRAI Innovation Fund). In recent years, legal tech that digitalizes legal and contract work has been attracting attention: Efficiency and quality of contracts are expected to be improved through the technology that suggests the company’s past knowledge based on accumulated data on past contracts and using AI-powered natural language processing for making decisions on new contracts. MNTSQ is a startup offering “MNTSQ CLM,” a service that enables companies to digitalize their contracting operations, founded with the aim of “making every agreement fair.” By combining the know-how of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, one of the four major law firms in Japan, with its unique machine learning and natural language processing technology specializing in legal affairs, MNTSQ provides systematic support from the creation, review and management of contracts to knowledge building. MNTSQ plans to use the funds raised in this round to further grow the existing “MNTSQ CLM” and develop new products. Global Brain has decided to invest in MNTSQ because of its high technological capabilities, legal know-how and customer base centered on large Japanese companies. In cooperation with the JGC Group, Global Brain will contribute to MNTSQ's business growth.
