Global Brain has invested in Light Inc. (Light), a company that develops the next-generation live-streaming platform “palmu,” through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).

Light is a startup with the mission of building a world where the next generation of stars are co-created and aims to provide a more “user-first” next-generation live-streaming platform by utilizing blockchain technology. By building a platform where users’ intentions are more easily reflected and financially rewarded, Light provides a “place” that empowers individuals. Through this funding, the company will invest in product development, user acquisition, and community management to create a comfortable community for as many users as possible.

Global Brain has decided to invest in Light because of its management’s aspirations and vision, the deep insight and high level of execution that will enable it to realize these aspirations, and its creative approach. Through this investment, Global Brain will work with KDDI to provide multifaceted support for Light’s business growth.
