Global Brain has made an additional investment in Gosan Tech Co., Ltd. (Gosan Tech), a provider of inkjet manufacturing equipment applicable to various industries including organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and perovskite solar cells (PSCs), through its EP-GB L.P. (EP-GB) as the lead investor. Global Brain also led Gosan Tech’s previous funding round through its EP-GB. Gosan Tech develops and sells both PSC modules and inkjet systems that improve power generation efficiency, design versatility, and material utilization. Its inkjet manufacturing equipment is gaining attention as a next-generation production method and has already been adopted in fields such as OLED displays and PSCs as it provides thin-film quality for PSCs—next-generation solar cells that have been difficult to mass-produce—and flexibility in thickness, materials, and design. Since the initial investment, Gosan Tech has achieved steady business growth, including improvements in the power generation efficiency of its PSC modules, expansion of the production capacity for its PSC-module inkjet manufacturing systems, and growing volume-production orders from new customers. Global Brain highly values this progress, which led to the follow-on investment. Through this investment, Global Brain will support the market expansion of inkjet-based PSC module manufacturing systems and continue to contribute to global carbon-free initiatives.
