Global Brain has invested in Creattura Co., Ltd., (Creattura), a developer of carbon credits and digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) technologies, through its SUISO no MORI Fund L.P. (Niterra SUISO no MORI Fund) and TOKYU-CNST GB Innovation Fund L.P. (TCIF). Creattura operates under the mission “to preserve and regenerate humanity’s natural heritage for future generations” and is committed to the development of carbon credits. The company has successfully generated credits from forestry and agricultural projects, as well as from GHG (general greenhouse gas) reduction activities such as renewable energy and energy conservation. Since its establishment in July 2022, Creattura has sold over 1.1 million tons of CO2-equivalent carbon credits and renewable energy certificates (as of March 10, 2025). As global efforts to combat climate change accelerate, the demand for carbon credits continues to grow worldwide. In Japan, a full-scale emissions trading system\* is set to be implemented in FY2026, further expanding the market. With this latest funding, Creattura will advance its credit generation process for a methane reduction project in rice paddies in Pangasinan, Philippines, while accelerating carbon credit development across Southeast Asia and Japan. Additionally, the company aims to strengthen the credibility of its carbon credits by advancing its digital MRV technologies, which leverage satellite data, AI, and IoT for enhanced measurement and verification.
