Global Brain has invested in Chemix, Inc. (Chemix), a developer of next-generation batteries using generative AI, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).

Chemix provides safe, high-performance next-generation batteries primarily for EVs, aiming for global business expansion. Conventional research and development methods are not fitted for quickly discovering the optimal combinations of raw materials, which led to the need to spend several years to complete the design of new materials. Chemix developed “MIX™,” a battery design platform incorporating proprietary generative AI, which accelerates and automates research and development processes, promoting the development of next-generation batteries.

Global Brain has decided to invest in Chemix, highly recognizing its unique method to develop next-generation batteries. Through this investment, Global Brain will collaborate with KDDI to provide comprehensive support for Chemix’s further business growth.
