Global Brain Corporation (Global Brain) is pleased to announce the launch of a new CVC fund, Sony Financial Ventures & Global Brain Frontier Fund (the New Fund), with approximately JPY 10 billion of initially committed capital. The New Fund has been launched under a joint venture company (the New Company) established through a co-investment with Sony Financial Ventures Inc. (Sony Financial Ventures). The New Fund will leverage a new AI-powered CVC model to enhance the efficiency of information gathering and analysis and to actively pursue diverse investment opportunities. Furthermore, the New Fund will combine the financial and insurance business assets held by Sony Financial Group with Global Brain's domestic and international network, thereby driving business collaborations with startups across various industry sectors. Going forward, the New Fund will deploy capital over time, aiming to create new value and unlock future frontiers through collaboration and cooperation with other companies in the sectors that are expected to grow. Note: The New Company changed its trade name from Otemachi Investment Preparation Inc. to Sony Financial Ventures & Global Brain Frontier Inc. as of December 1, 2025.
