Global Brain has made an additional investment in Unabiz Holdings Pte. Ltd. (UnaBiz), a massive IoT service provider which has more than 1.2 million Sigfox networks globally*¹, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).

UnaBiz provides device design, manufacturing, and cloud platform services in Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) technologies such as Sigfox, LTE-M, NB-IoT, and LoRa. Recently, the demand for efficient and cost-effective data acquisition and management using IoT technology has been increasing, particularly in the infrastructure and utility sectors, due to rising fuel and labor costs. UnaBiz's massive IoT technology can drive digital transformation and solve the challenges faced in these sectors. Specifically, its services for smart metering, smart facility management, smart logistics, and supply chain management are growing consistently. Since the last investment, UnaBiz has steadily built its track record in Japan, including the deployment of over 1.4 million IoT devices*² for Nippon Gas Co., Ltd. (NICIGAS). Through this investment, UnaBiz will enhance its collaboration with KDDI Corporation and its group company, Soracom, Inc., to drive further growth of the IoT market centered around Sigfox.

Global Brain has decided to additionally invest in UnaBiz, highly recognizing its management and development team with deep IoT knowledge and experience of offering comprehensive IoT solutions to many industries, and its mass production capacity of over one million IoT devices.
