(JIJ), a provider of a quantum technology-enabled mathematical optimization platform, through its GB-VII & GB-VIII Follow-on Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership (GB-VII & VIII Follow-on), KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III), ME Innovation Fund L.P. (ME Innovation Fund), ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. (ANA Future Frontier Fund), and KURONEKO Innovation Fund II (KIF II), as the lead investor. This marks the first investment in JIJ by ME Innovation Fund, ANA Future Frontier Fund, and KIF II. JIJ focuses on solving mathematical optimization problems that exist across various industries, including production planning in manufacturing, delivery planning in logistics, and operational planning for telecommunications base stations. Real-world mathematical optimization problems encountered in business often require complex and large-scale computations, making them difficult to solve efficiently using conventional approaches. As a result, many organizations continue to rely on inefficient manual processes for developing operational plans. Drawing on expertise in quantum technology and mathematical optimization cultivated at the Institute of Science Tokyo, JIJ provides a mathematical optimization platform designed to address real-world business challenges. JIJ's technology has gained recognition in Japan and internationally.
