Global Brain, via KDDI Open Innovation Fund III, has invested in VFR Inc., a smart drone company
Global Brain has invested in VFR Inc. (VFR), a Japan-based smart drone company, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).
VFR was founded by VAIO Corporation as a subsidiary company. VFR provides aircraft with excellent availability and cost-effectiveness, componentry, and related solutions for drone end-users and operators by effectively utilizing the advanced design and manufacturing technologies and global supply chain management capabilities VAIO has cultivated in its PC business.
Global Brain has highly evaluated the uniqueness of VFR’s business, advanced technological capabilities, and potential of the drone industry. Together with KDDI, Global Brain is thrilled to support VFR in many aspects aiming for further growth.
