Global Brain has invested in trifa Inc. (trifa), an eSIM^\*1 operator for international travelers, through its GB-IX Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership (GB-IX) and ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. (ANA Future Frontier Fund) as the lead investor.

The company’s service called “trifa” allows users to purchase eSIMs for 200 countries with a single app and connect to the Internet overseas. There is no need to rent a mobile Wi-Fi device at the airport or purchase and set up a local SIM card as in the past. ”trifa” is more convenient than mobile Wi-Fi devices, etc. and boasts the highest number of downloads^\*2 as a Japanese player. The market is also expected to grow, driven by the spread of eSIM-compatible smartphones.
