Global Brain has invested in TRIBEAU Inc. (TRIBEAU), a company providing a rating and booking service related to cosmetic medicine, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).
The cosmetic medicine market has grown 164% from 2009 to 2019. Meanwhile, many patients regret that they couldn't choose the appropriate clinic and procedure due to asymmetry of information between patients and clinics.
TRIBEAU provides an app to search for reviews/procedures/clinics, receive online counseling, and book with clinics in cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and cosmetic dentistry. TRIBEAU started its service in October 2017, and the app has achieved a total of 650,000 downloads, becoming the top cosmetic medicine app in Japan. With the funding, TRIBEAU aims to develop a comprehensive platform for enhanced experience of cosmetic medicine by expanding the cosmetic dermatology field and developing a service for men's cosmetic medicine.
Global Brain decided to invest in TRIBEAU because of its broad network, powerful driving force on business development, and the potential of the cosmetic medicine market. Through this investment, Global Brain will proactively leverage its resources to support TRIBEAU in achieving further business growth.
