SECAI MARCHE operates an e-commerce platform with its main base in Malaysia, providing fresh food products primarily from Japan and Malaysia to consumers, mainly restaurants and retail stores. The existing supply chain in Southeast Asia is characterized by a complex and inefficient intermediary distribution system between producers and consumers. As a result, producers have limited sales channels, while consumers lack direct access to the ingredients they need. Furthermore, the conventional distribution process fails to ensure proper temperature control, leading to food quality degradation and high waste rates. To address these challenges, SECAI MARCHE has built its own cold chain and provides an end-to-end fulfillment service from producers to consumers. By combining this with digital transformation in logistics, such as AI-powered demand forecasting and automatic calculation of optimal delivery routes, SECAI MARCHE aims to provide producers with new sales channels and businesses with stable supplies of quality-controlled ingredients at fair prices. Global Brain has decided to invest in SECAI MARCHE because of the fresh food cold chain it has developed in Southeast Asia. Through this investment, Global Brain will collaborate with Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd., the LP of KIF II, to provide multi-faceted management support to contribute to the further business expansion of SECAI MARCHE.
