(RABO), a startup providing the health support service “Catlog” that predicts changes in cats’ health, through its Canon Marketing Japan MIRAI Fund (Canon MJ MIRAI Fund). RABO is a startup that uses animal behavior science (biologging) and AI “to watch over cats’ lives with technology, so that cats and their parents around the world can be together for even one second longer.” The collar-type wearable device called “Catlog” for monitoring cats’ behavior and excretion and the IoT device “Catlog Board” that is placed under the litter box obtain data every day. Using this data, AI automatically analyzes the cats’ behavior and health conditions. The service enables cat owners to easily follow cats’ health, helping them understand their behavior and decide whether to go to the hospital when they are sick. It is also useful when visiting a veterinary hospital. In addition to managing cats’ health, the service fulfills the wishes of cat owners to “see their cats while they cannot be together” and “create a world where they can feel closer to their cats even when apart,” which also enhances their quality of life (QOL) and wellbeing.
