Global Brain has invested as the lead investor in Otetsutabi, Inc. (Otetsutabi), a short-term job matching platform for rural area travelers, through Shinhan-GB FutureFlow Fund L.P. (SHGB) that is jointly managed with Shinhan Venture Investment Co., Ltd. (Shinhan Venture Investment).

This round of funding was also joined by KDDI Regional Initiatives Fund I (KRIF I) and ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. (ANA Future Frontier Fund).

Otetsutabi is a human resource matching service that combines assistance (short-term part-time job) and travel. It matches local businesses that are suffering from labor shortages with travelers who want to enjoy traveling while working. Since the service launch in January 2019, the service has grown to offer over 1,900 workplaces nationwide, with more than 70,000 registered users as of April 2025. It has successfully built a top position in the local spot work market. In recent years, demand has been increasing not only from Gen Z but also from seniors looking for a second career. This trend is expected to revitalize local economies and foster connections between local communities and non-residents in the future. Otetsutabi is using this round of funding to further accelerate customer acquirement, product improvement, and recruitment.

Global Brain has decided to invest in Otetsutabi, believing in its potential to contribute to regional development and create new business opportunities, and highly recognizing its strong regional network, ability to attract participants who are interested in the region, and branding.
