Global Brain has invested in OPTIMIND. Inc., last-mile route optimization AI Startup

Global Brain (GB) has invested in OPTIMIND. Inc. (OPTIMIND), a provider of last-mile route optimization cloud service, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).

OPTIMIND launched a cloud service “Loogia” that makes it easy to optimize the delivery route of the last-mile in September 2018. They have been not only working to improve the working environment and improve the efficiency of delivery operations but also realizing the sustainability of delivery operations using route optimization AI.

OPTIMIND will strengthen the product development system, cultivate human resources, and expand marketing measures to achieve successful customer experiences and accelerate business growth. In addition, they aim to solve problems in the delivery industry through Loogia and realize infrastructure for the optimization of the last-mile route not only in Japan but around the world. Furthermore, they will plan to expand their services to the MaaS area by utilizing the knowledge of route optimization.

GB has highly evaluated OPTIMIND’s excellent product and business development capabilities of the management team. Together with KDDI, GB will support the company to expand its business.
