Global Brain has invested in Modhaus Inc., a blockchain-based entertainment startup

Global Brain has invested in Modhaus Inc. (Modhaus), a blockchain-based entertainment startup, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III).

Modhaus is an entertainment production company and a Web 3.0 platform startup, home to tripleS and ARTMS that are popular among the Gen Z in South Korea. By purchasing digital photo cards on “COSMO” platform, fans can earn tokens that allow them to vote on artists' activities, and the tokens are fully recorded in the blockchain to ensure transparent voting.

Modhaus is led by two co-founders. Jaden Jeong, President produced many famous artists for 25 years at JYP Entertainment and Woollim Entertainment. Joseph Baek, Vice President was a consultant at Bain & Company and ex-COO at Naver Playlist. Modhaus plans to upgrade the “COSMO” platform through the launch of new groups and the introduction of external IP, aiming to create a space where fans can connect with artists and actively contribute to the growth of the idol groups they support.

Global Brain has decided to invest in the company based on the growth potential of the rapidly growing global K-Pop market and the management team's high level of expertise in the entertainment and blockchain industries. Through this investment, Global Brain will collaborate with KDDI to support Modhaus’ business expansion for entering the Japanese market.
