Global Brain has invested in KitchHike, Inc. (KitchHike), an operator of Japan Preschool Exchange, through its ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. (ANA Future Frontier Fund).

Urban dual-income families increasingly struggle with childcare, while modern education emphasizes non-cognitive skills alongside cognitive abilities, driving demand for nature and diverse learning experiences.

Moreover, urban preschool population rises with rural migration, while rural areas face sharp child population decline, widening the urban-rural gap and causing low nursery occupancy in depopulated regions.

KitchHike’s Japan Preschool Exchange provides one- to two-week child-centered stays in rural areas to attend local nursery schools, enabling families to work and experience regional life. It fosters early nature interaction for child development and strengthens local economies through long-term family relationships.

Launched in Hokkaido (2021), Japan Preschool Exchange now spans 50+ locations nationwide, serving 2,000 families (6,000+ people) by March 2025. KitchHike will utilize the funds to strengthen its team, systems, and marketing to expand user base.

Global Brain has decided to invest in KitchHike, recognizing the company’s excellent services that cater to the needs of child-rearing households and its highly capable management team. Through this investment and in collaboration with ANA HOLDINGS INC., Global Brain will provide comprehensive management support to contribute to KitchHike’s further business expansion.
