Global Brain has invested in Branch Technology, Inc., a company providing freeform 3D printed facades, exterior, and interior solutions

Global Brain has invested in Branch Technology, Inc. (Branch), a company providing freeform 3D printed facades, exterior, and interior solutions, through its TOKYU-CNST GB Innovation Fund L.P. (TCIF).

Branch’s proprietary technology enables complex surface geometry, cost reduction, and industry standards of quality. The company’s sales have grown from under $2M to over $12M this year. Branch has been awarded first place in the NASA 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge which envisions a future where autonomous machines will help construct extra-terrestrial shelters for human habitation. The company’s unique matrix structure produced by its fleet of 3D printing robots 1) expresses curved surfaces which are difficult with current construction technology, 2) ensures the durability of the facades, and 3) reduces weight compared to conventional building materials such as concrete and steel.

As every designer should have the freedom to design imaginatively, intelligently, and without the limitations of conventional construction material, Branch’s revolutionary additive manufacturing process enables this. Global Brain will leverage their collective resources to support Branch in expanding international business, acquiring Japanese enterprise clients, and developing new products.
