Global Brain partners with Niterra on its corporate venture capital fund, “SUISO no MORI Fund”

Global Brain Corporation (Global Brain) and Niterra Co., Ltd. (Niterra) have jointly established “SUISO no MORI Fund.”

Niterra has set "environment and energy" as one of the focus sectors in its long-term management plan, pursuing a wide range of research and development activities, including SOEC, SOFC, CCU, and methanation, to address global climate change. As a new initiative, Niterra launched the "SUISO no MORI" project to contribute to the early realization of a hydrogen society and carbon-recycling society. This project involves a corporate venture capital fund and a proof-of-concept facility, investing in startups working on hydrogen and carbon recycling as well as supporting them in developing and enhancing their technologies.

The Fund primarily focuses on investing in startups with technologies related to production, storage, transportation, and utilization of hydrogen as well as recovery, storage, utilization, and conversion of carbon. In addition, the Fund will support startups in developing and enhancing their technologies through open innovation such as commercialization and joint development that leverages the Niterra Group’s assets including a proof-of-concept facility to be established at Niterra’s Komaki Plant (Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture).

As the General Partner of the Fund, Global Brain will find promising startups, make investment decisions, and provide a wide range of support to startups which the Fund invests in, striving to achieve rapid growth of the startups.
