Global Brain partners with KIRIN Holdings on its corporate venture capital fund

Global Brain Corporation (Global Brain) and Kirin Holdings Company, Limited (TYO:2503, KIRIN) have partnered to launch the KIRIN HEALTH INNOVATION FUND, a corporate venture capital having JPY 5 Billion of committed capital.

Kirin Group Vision 2027, the long-term management vision of the Kirin Group, sets out the broad goal of creating value across the world of Food & Beverages to Pharmaceuticals. The Group has now launched a new Health Science domain to help people stay fit and healthy by leveraging advanced fermentation and biotechnology the Group has amassed over the years.

the KIRIN HEALTH INNOVATION FUND aims to invest in startups around the globe having innovative technologies and business models for resolving health issues, and to acquire advanced health science technologies and solutions for improving customer experience. By combining the Kirin Group’s wealth of assets and competence in the health science domain with innovations and technologies that startups will bring to partnerships, we will be better able to bolster our existing businesses and step up our efforts to launch new businesses in the Health Science Domain.

As a general partner of the Fund, Global Blain aims to find promising startups and conduct due diligence and investment decisions. Furthermore, Global Brain will provide portfolio startups with hands-on support to co-create successful businesses and companies.
