Global Brain partners with Canon Marketing Japan on its corporate venture capital fund, “Canon Marketing Japan MIRAI Fund”

Global Brain Corporation (Global Brain) and Canon Marketing Japan Inc. (Canon MJ) have jointly established “Canon Marketing Japan MIRAI Fund” (Canon MJ MIRAI Fund).

The Canon MJ Group has always responded to the changing needs of society and its customers and strived to pioneer new markets. To further create new value beyond the existing framework to develop a sustainable society, the Group has announced its decision to become a “MIRAI Marketing Company” that aims to create a better future with the power of marketing and established its Group purpose, “Bringing together hopes and ideas with technologies to create a future beyond imagining.” To achieve the purpose, the Group will launch a Research & Business Development (R&B) organization focusing on new business creation and drive open innovation on a global scale.

The newly established Canon MJ MIRAI Fund focuses on areas of “Well Being” and “Business Transformation,” aiming to invest in and support startups with the latest technologies and business ideas as well as driving open innovation activities for achieving a sustainable society.

As the General Partner of the Fund, Global Brain will find promising startups, make investment decisions, and provide a wide range of support to startups which Canon MJ MIRAI Fund invests in, striving to achieve rapid growth of the startups.
