Global Brain has signed the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment)

Global Brain is pleased to announce that it has officially become a signatory to the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment), fully endorsing the fundamental principles of responsible investment.

Global Brain is committed to the mission of “Bringing unimaginable innovation into society” and have been actively contributing to the resolution of social challenges and the realization of a sustainable economy by investing in and supporting leading startups both domestically and internationally. In 2021, we implemented an ESG policy, integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors into our investment decisions and hands-on support activities. By becoming a PRI signatory, we aim to deepen our understanding of ESG issues and, while adhering to global standards, continue to uphold our fiduciary responsibilities. We are also committed to further supporting the sustainable growth of startups moving forward.

About the PRI
The PRI consists of six principles and their preamble, which call for the fulfillment of ESG responsibilities through investment. These principles were implemented in 2006 by UNEP FI (United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative) and the UNGC (United Nations Global Compact).
1 We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
2 We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
3 We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
4 We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
5 We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
6 We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
