Global Brain has made an additional investment in EneCoat Technologies Co., Ltd. (EneCoat Technologies), a developer of perovskite solar cells, through its JGC MIRAI Innovation Fund L.P. (JGC MIRAI Innovation Fund).

Based on the research results of a group led by Professor Atsushi Wakamiya of the Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University, Enecoat Technologies has been working on the development and production of perovskite solar cells and other activities to help realize a carbon-neutral society. In December 2021, Enecoat Technologies was the only startup selected for the "Green Innovation Fund Project: Development of Next-Generation Solar Cells" by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Since then, the company has made steady progress, including the launch of a prototype line for large modules for outdoor use and the start of sample supply.

Global Brain has decided to make this additional investment in Enecoat Technologies based on its high technological capabilities and progress in R&D and business development. We will continue to provide support in collaboration with the JGC Group and support its growth from multiple perspectives.
