Global Brain invested in 5Rocks, Inc., a developer of a native mobile game analytics and operation service

Global Brain Corpation (GB) announced that both “WING”, a CVC fund operated by NIFTY Corporation (NIFTY) and GB, and “KDDI Open Innovation Fund” operated by GB and KDDI, invested in 5Rocks, Inc., a Korean start-up company run by Changsu Lee (CEO), and Chester Roh (CSO).
5Rocks is a renowned start-up in the Korean market due to its highly talented engineers and proven management team. 5Rocks has provided its service to SUNDAYTOZ, LinkTomorrow, GAMEVIL, LoadComplete, and RocketOz, most of which are top-tier mobile game companies in Korea. 5Rocks provides not only an analytics and operation service, but also a consulting service for an optimal operation design for mobile game companies.
5Rocks plans to enter the Japanese market off the back of GB’s investment. 5Rocks will provide a closed beta service to Japanese mobile game developers, KLab, Pokelabo, Mynet, Mutations Studio, and NewsTech, as of September 1st.
GB highly evaluated 5Rocks in light of their deep insight and expertise upon native mobile games. 5Rocks has a competitive product created by talented engineers, and is led by an insightful and committed management team. GB and NIFTY, a leading internet and cloud computing service provider in Japan, also expect that 5Rocks will play a central role in the development of new products focusing on the cloud-based mobile game market along with NIFTY.
Yasuhiko Yurimoto, the CEO and president of GB, and now an adviser of 5Rocks, will support 5Rocks to enter the Japanese market and expand to a global market by leveraging GB’s strong network in Japan and other big markets.
