KDDI Open Innovation Fund Invests in Online Classified Advertising Site, ‘JMTY’

KDDI Open Innovation Fund has invested in a classified advertising site, JMTY, which allows users to easily post region-specific information for either no fee or a minimal fee.

Classified advertising sites have already established large markets abroad and it is expected growth will be seen in this domain in Japan also.

Currently, JMTY boasts the top ranking amongst service providers of its kind in Japan with the highest user and content volume.

The KDDI Open Innovation Fund is KDDI’S first corporate venture fund and Global Brain has been assigned management in light of its past performance.

Following investment, both KDDI and Global Brain will provide the necessary support to further strengthen JMTY’s corporate value.
