Global Brain leads Series A round for Beer and Tech, a Japan-based e-commerce company focusing on plants and flowers

Global Brain has invested in Beer and Tech Inc. (CEO: Norihisa Morita), a Japan-based e-commerce startup dealing with plants and flowers, through its GB-VI Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership. Beer and Tech has operated two businesses; firstly, an e-commerce website specializing in plants and flowers called “HitoHana” and secondly a plant-/ flower-consignment sale business called “HitoHana for Business”.

By operating “HitoHana”, Beer and Tech has tried to disrupt the existing distribution structure of plants and flowers to embody its corporate mission of making consumers happier by providing a flower outlet where consumers can be aware of what they really want and can get it. After launching “HitoHana” a year ago, Beer and Tech has already been one of the top plant-/ flower-related e-commerce services in Japan. From now on, Beer and Tech will reinforce “HitoHana for Business”, as well as “HitoHana”, to ensure not only consumers can enjoy their service but also businesses could make the most of its services.

Global Brain will leverage its resources to support Beer and Tech on developing their business, including building partnership/ alliances with its potential clients internationally and domestically.
