Global Brain has invested in DAILY, a Korea-based startup providing a mobile focused hotel and restaurant reservation services
Global Brain Corporation (GB) has invested in DAILY CO., LTD. (DAILY), a Korea-based startup providing a mobile focused hotel and restaurant reservation services, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund (“KOIF”) and GB-VI Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership (“GB-VI”).
DAILY began to offer the DAILYHOTEL services, the very first mobile focused hotel reservation platform, in Korea in 2014. Since then, it also added the capability to make the restaurant reservations as well. The cumulative downloads have now exceeded 9 million downloads.
As of April of this year, the number of hotels that can be reserved via the DAILY HOTEL services are over 350 thousand in Korea and abroad, including Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore. The annual total gross transaction for the past year was over 12 billion Japanese Yen.
DAILY intends to invest the funds raised during the current financing round to further analyze and individualize the collected data of the DAILYHOTEL users by utilizing the artificial intelligence, and to improve the user experience of the services, and also to invest in its human resources in order to expand its market, including Japan.
GB highly evaluated DAILY’s travel platform services related to stay and eat and decided an investment.
