Hiroto joined GB in 2021 and is responsible for sourcing, investment execution, and post-investment support for African startups mainly in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.

At Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Hiroto was in charge of vehicle trading in Africa as well as initiating Japanese grant-aid projects to install special purpose vehicles. He was also stationed at a regional headquarter in South Africa to support operational development (“Kaizen”) and lead DX projects by collaboration with African startups.

Genuinely positive person. He believes that hosting a nice African BBQ has a power of setting things straight. His favorite Nigerian proverb is "Fine words do not produce food."
