Hidetaka is responsible for investment execution and support for global DeepTech startups mainly around space and robotics. He also supports startups from the standpoint of alignment with public policies as he serves as a member of a policy committee of the government in addition to providing business and technological support. He is also involved in multiple aspects of efforts to promote space business as a "Space Evangelist".

At Mitsubishi Electric, Hidetaka developed “Kounotori,” Japan’s first automated cargo spacecraft and won a number of awards. At Dream Incubator, he advised major corporations on aerospace business and was engaged in incubation of tech startups. As a "Space Evangelist", he has been working to promote the space business and create the private-sector-led space industry with his expertise in both the space business and space technology.

Hidetaka has a pilot license and enjoys flying all over the world.
