(Chefaa), an Egypt-based pharmacy benefits platform, through its GB-VI & GB-VII Follow-on Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership (GB-VI & VII Follow-on). Global Brain invested in the company in 2022 through its GB-VII Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership.

Chefaa is a patient-centric pharmacy benefits startup, which aims to manage chronic illness through a comprehensive approach and improve patients’ compliance through enhancing accessibility to medicine in Egypt. Since Egypt has been suffering from the unsustained access of medical supply particularly for chronic patients, Chefaa provides on-demand service from the nearest pharmacy just through uploading the prescription by patients.

Chefaa also provides the first Arabic speaking pharmaceutical blog as well as 24/7 pharmaceutical consultation as a freemium service to improve the pharmaceutical literacy in Egypt. Chefaa has expanded to Saudi Arabia partnering with 71 pharmacies in 7 cities as of October 31, 2023. They are expecting to accelerate their partnerships in Saudi Arabia as well as launching a new service for insurance subscribers led by a domestic demand in Egypt.
